It has become fashionable to push the Tar Heel basketball team all the way through the season and in to the Georgia Dome (the site of this year’s Final Four). The Heels are good, no doubt about it. But they’re young.

Of course, they do have Roy on the bench. So, that’s a plus. But Coach Williams will have to figure out a way to get minutes for a slew (10-12) players on a nightly basis.

Further, UNC has arguably the best player in the country in Tyler Hansbrough. But Tyler will sneak up on no one this season.

Part of me thinks Carolina will struggle with teams that can withstand the pressure defense the Heels are sure to implememt. Part of me thinks the Heels will have trouble with teams that have small, quick forwards that are able to handle the ball. And, part of me believes UNC will have a problem figuring out which lineups will provide the most production.

Having said that, ALL of me believes the Tar Heels will figure it out when March rolls around. UNC may lose a few more than expected from now until the end of February. But…..I have a sneaking suspicion that Carolina may not lose any when the post-season starts.
